Learn to Weave

Let's face it ... some things are just not covered and/or mastered in beauty school. Learn and get that 1 on 1 attention you need to master the latest sew-in techniques. 

 

**Please note this class has a requirement of one of the following:

-Must already know how to braid 

OR

-Have successfully completed Course 100: "Learn to braid for Weaving and/or Wigs"

The Classic Sew-IN: Course 301

The Classic sew-in also known as "the traditional sew-in" is the original of all weaves using the client's natural hair or "leave out" at the top.  This leave- out covers the tracks added to create length and volume overall. 

This course will cover:

- Typical braid patterns.

- When and how to use a weaving net.

- The (2) most common types of thread used and when to use it.

- Blending the leave out with the client's natural hair.

- Track placement.

- Folding the tracks vs. cutting them.

Lace Closure Sew-IN: Course 302

The Lace Closure Sew-in is very popular for beginner lace wearers not ready for wigs or frontals. This service is also ideal for clients suffering from hair loss or thinning. The lace closure piece acts as the client's new natural hairline and can look very natural when installed properly. 

This course will cover:

- Typical braid patterns used for one part or multiple parts.

- When and how to use a weaving net.

- The (2) most common types of thread used and when to use it.

- Plucking the lace

-Bleaching & tinting the lace.

- Track placement.

- Folding the tracks vs. cutting them.

- Molding your part.

- Baby hair (minimal vs heavy)

- Glue vs. no glue

Lace Frontal Sew-IN: Course 303

The Lace Frontal Sew-in is considered to be a high maintenance service and requires detailed customization techniques for best outcome in appearance. This install is very popular as it gives the most parting/styling versatility than lace closures. This service is also ideal for clients suffering from hair loss or thinning. The lace frontal piece acts as the client's new natural hairline from ear to ear and can look very natural when installed properly. 

This course will cover:

- Typical braid pattern used.

- When and how to use a weaving net.

- The (2) most common types of thread used and when to use it.

- Plucking the lace

-Bleaching & tinting the lace.

- Track placement.

- Folding the tracks vs. cutting them.

- Molding your part.

- Baby hair (minimal vs heavy)

Quick Weave "How To": Course 304

The Quick Weave has re-gained much popularity due to it quicker timing and flawless results.  Now that clients are learning how to work with glue more due to lace pieces being so commonly used, quick weaves have made a comeback. Generally, these installs don't also require a technical braid pattern, lay very flat and are easier to blend with thin/short natural hair textures. 

This course will cover:

- Typical braid patterns used.

- How to measure the amount of leave-out.

- Protective mold of natural hair.

- Track placement

- Blending/molding the clients leave out.

      Class Investment $400  | Deposit: $200

 

All classes are beginner friendly but do require you to know how to braid and the willingness to learn. 


What you should know before purchasing:

** These are in person class sessions located in Mount Vernon, NY 10550.

** Each class course is about 6 hours long. 

** Class sessions are only held Sundays & Mondays. Other days can be requested for 1 on 1 scheduling for an additional $100 fee.

** Students will be required to bring their own materials from the class supply list emailed after purchasing. 

** Students can request to have all materials provided for them on the day of class for an additional $150 fee.

** A model for class will be needed.
